On February 24th<\/sup>, Russia invaded Ukraine, kicking off what\u2019s been deemed the worst humanitarian crisis in Europe since the second World War. Oil, gold, and many other commodities spiked in price as investors anticipated supply chain disruptions, with Russia and Ukraine\u2019s key role in a number of markets. At the same time, bond yields began to rise on the back of the first rate hikes in the US and Canada since 2018. Stocks were mostly down on the growing investor uncertainty except for in Canada, where oil and other resource sectors are expected to benefit from supply constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
