\"derek-dedman\"<\/a>WDS proudly announces that Derek Dedman has attained the highest level in the investment industry, portfolio manager. Portfolio manager is a position that a person must work his way up to over the course of a career. After all, portfolio managers are ultimately responsible for making the final investment decisions for clients.<\/p>\n

As we’re sure you know, Derek joined WDS’s investment team a little over a year ago. He possessed the required Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation upon joining us. Highly analytical, and with a love of the ever-changing dynamics of financial markets, Derek stepped in as an investment analyst. Considerable time, thought and commitment have gone into his training over the past twelve months. Working alongside veterans, Derek’s learned the WDS framework for making current portfolio decisions, such as whether to buy or sell a security based on fundamental analysis of the underlying economic conditions and valuation parameters driving outcomes.<\/p>\n

Derek came to WDS and brought with him abundant energy and enthusiasm that he continues to use while seeking investment ideas. Before his full “PM” registration Derek was mostly under wraps, but now he’ll be more visible in our midst. Derek’s abilities and responsibilities continue to evolve. We are pleased and have high hopes it will impact us all in a positive way.<\/p>\n
